**What you will do as Port Planner / Container Terminal Specialist**:
As a Port Planner / Container Terminal Specialist, you will be an important part of the team responsible for the delivery of complex maritime planning projects in the Container Terminal sector. You will help develop innovative port planning tools using the latest modelling and simulation software and encourage repeat business from key accounts by delivering outstanding client value.

You will develop port and terminal master planning projects in the Container Terminal sector on national and international level. You will approach port planning from a civil engineering and port operations perspective, and will work closely with other parts of the business that focus on the environmental, commercial and other aspects of port planning.

The primary focus of this role is the Container Terminal sector, but work may also involve other sectors such as Dry Bulk, Liquid Bulk, PVT, etc.

Responsibilities will include:

- Developing master planning projects, large and small, within our portfolio of Container Terminal clients around the world
- Planning of small as well as large, complex projects in different phases and on different degrees of detail, including continuous follow-up
- Contributing to the digitalisation and innovation of port and terminal master planning
- Managing and leading multi-disciplinary container terminal design projects
- Engaging in the global port planning team, including our Smart Ports team, Green Ports team and Port Automation team
- Working closely with our Global Container Terminal Sector Director to identify and pursue opportunities, developing strong relationships with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the Container Terminal sector portfolio
- On specific projects, technical development and management of maritime design projects, including production of design calculations (structural, fendering/mooring, etc), checking and reviewing of calculations produced by others
- Developing proposals and commercial offers

We are one of the largest and most experienced teams of port planning professionals globally and we are world leaders in the production of port feasibility studies and master plans. Examples of recent projects include the port master plan, design and engineering services for the new Port of Baku in Azerbaijan, the detailed design of the Twelve Quays Ro-Ro berth on the River Mersey.

**What you bring**:
Experience in delivering master plans for Container Terminals
- Other relevant experience in the port and maritime infrastructure sector (e.g. design, construction, operations)
- Experience of collaborative working in teams and with other disciplines
- Focused, articulate and professional in appearance and standard of work
- Capable of undertaking assignments effectively to achieve technically sound, timely and cost-effective results
- Chartered status (or equivalent) with a recognised industry body (e.g. ICE, IEE, MIMechE) is preferred
- Approximately 5-10 years experience relevant to the role
