Parking Services are looking for a self-motivated, highly customer focused individual, to work within the Processing Team within Parking Services.
**Parking Services manage**:
- the provision of car parking in the council’s car parks and within on-street parking bays
- residents’ parking schemes across the town, including the provision and management of residents parking permits
- the enforcement of on street parking spaces throughout the town and within the council’s car parks
- maximising the collection of money to the council from parking fees and from enforcement.
The Processing Team are responsible for the administration of the service, such as Penalty Charge Notice debt recovery, and appeals, issuing of parking permits, virtual parking offers and case management.
You will have a proven experience in working in a customer-based environment with excellent negotiation skills. Previous experience of working in a parking environment is not essential, it is more important that you can demonstrate your customer service experience with the ability to assist customers, and maximising debt recovery.
You will need excellent computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple systems and extract data and information.
You will be required to obtain a City & Guilds Level 2 Award for Notice Processors (Parking) which is essential to your job role.
