We are working with a Mechanical Contractor who are looking for a Permanent Design Manager to work out of their office which is close to Canterbury, Kent.

You will be working on large multi million pound projects across Europe involving Building Services and Mechanical Installations.

main duties will consist of but not limited to:

- Reviewing Design Received from consultant team
- Validating Design Received from consultant team
- Reviewing Drawings created from internal BIM team prior formal issue
- Reviewing all documents MTOs, Isometrics etc prior formal issue
- Review and chase comments on drawings and document issued
- Working with site and procurement teams on selecting parts and kit to be purchased
- Being the middle man between BIM and Fabrication team
- Attending BIM and coordination meeting with team
- Creating tech subs

Must have experience:

- Worked at Construction level
- Good pipework knowledge
- Team player
- Good communication skills
- A degree in Mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Be able to work on multiple projects in parallel

Some trips to offices in London and Austria may be required however not on a regular bases. Same for site visits in Europe.
