Process Commissioning Engineer

**Process Commissioning Engineer/Manager** **Duration**:6 Months** **Location: Kent** **IR35: Outside** **Rates: Market rate** **Role Description / Requirements** - Lead and coordinate process commissioning activities connected with the main components and the water-steam-cycle - Lead, supervise and coordinate the overall plant integration testing, fine plant tuning and plant optimization during hot commissioning phase. - Active participation in troubleshooting during commission together with the suppliers and Client. - Operation of the Plant during the Commissioning Phase (from time to time, sometimes even in a night shift - tbd) - Guide and support K4 Operators - Support technical discussions with specialist suppliers, the general planner/designer / engineering service provider, authorities, or experts - Support the Commissioning Manager in the commissioning preparation phase in the field of P&IPO for commissioning, performance test and trial run activities. - Review and comment on commissioning, performance test and trial run documents prepared by the individual suppliers - Ensure that contractors are aware of and comply with the HSSE and Permit to Work (PtW) rules for the site - Lead and chair commissioning site coordination meetings in the field of process / system optimization/ plant operation with suppliers, client prepare Minutes of Meetings (MoM) and follow-up actions defined and agreed - Support schedule review and progress monitoring and provide input to General Commission Manager to update commissioning programmed on a regular basis. - Participate in other relevant site meetings - Coordinate and monitor the execution of commissioning, performance test and trial run activities performed by the various lot suppliers related to the process and system optimization activities. - Collaborate in monitoring the fulfilment of the contractual agreements between the Employer and the Lot suppliers - Monitor and ensure compliance with the relevant provisions, laws, site regulations, codes, standards, and guidelines - Carry out Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities and coordinate and support Employer's QA/QC service provider for QA/QC activities - Immediate notification of the project manager and the Employer's Commissioning Manager of significant events that affect technical, scheduling, and commercial agreements or decisions - Review and validate suppliers commissioning, performance test and test run documents and reports - Track and monitor the rectification of damage and shortcomings and non-contractual execution (prepare Non-conformance Reports, NCR) - Prepare punch lists and follow-up punch clearance process - Support error analysis in the automation equipment - Collect and maintain "red lined" documents on site for process engineering topics, including functional descriptions, functional diagrams, wiring and electrical circuit diagrams, etc. - Assist and check "as-built" documentation for completeness, content, and plausibility - Support and contribute to the smooth handover to operations team - Obligation to be present on the construction site during the term of the contract, in each case from Monday to Friday (and partly also on Saturdays, depending on Project requirements) during normal working hours. Deviation (e.g., vacation, weekend arrivaland departure) in coordination with or by order of the Employer's project management and/or the General Commissioning Manager. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree process engineering or similar field - Good communication skills and proven skills in coordination & interface management - Deep knowledge in the field of steam-water cycles and combined heat and power plants - Previous experience in a similar position (Process Commissioning Manager, Lead Engineer or Engineer) - Experience and knowledge in plant operation (during commissioning) - Experience and Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, valves, pumps, sampling systems, analyzers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring and control panels - Experience and knowledge of the T-3000 DCS beneficial - Familiar with permit to work systems for commissioning phase Please submit your CV in the first instance.
