As a Screening and Immunisation Coordinator, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Midlands Vaccination Team to commission consistently resilient, high quality national Vaccination programmes within the defined geography of the Midlands region.
The post holder will provide direct support to the Vaccination Managers across the full range of commissioning activities, including clinical advice, as specified in the mandate agreement and which are required to ensure that Vaccination programmes:

- meet the needs of all eligible people.
- are provided to the highest levels of quality, safety and efficiency.
- meet minimum standards and strive for excellence.
- ensure equity of access and uptake.
The Vaccination Commissioning team is responsible for ensuring high quality vaccination services are commissioned to meet the health needs of the population. The post holder will work primarily in the East of the Midlands Region, which covers 5 Integrated Care Board footprints:

- Derby & Derbyshire
- Lincolnshire
- Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland
- Northamptonshire
- Nottingham & Nottinghamshire
- The post holder will be part of a team of Vaccination coordinators who will support the implementation of plans and continuous improvement of the commissioning and delivery of the national programmes.
- The post-holder’s main responsibilities will be the day-to-day work assigned by the Vaccination manager relating to the management and oversight of vaccination services across a defined geographical area. The post holder will also be required to provide accurate and timely advice in response to enquiries and incident reports from provider organisations.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher. To support the development and maintenance of Vaccination in the region.
To support the Vaccination Manager in ensuring that local Vaccination programmes in your areas are commissioned to meet the requirements and standards of national service specifications. Working closely with contracting and finance managers.
To provide public health advice and expertise internally within NHS England and to other commissioners such as ICBs on the implementation of mandated national Vaccination programmes including Seasonal Vaccination Programmes (Influenza and Covid-19). Also advising on national and other relevant local specifications e.g., maternity.
To be an integral part of the team of Vaccination Coordinators and contribute to the implementation of strategies and plans to support continuous improvement of the commissioning and delivery of the national programmes.
To be part of negotiations with providers in cases of underperformance and support providers in developing and implementing remedial action plans.
To deputise for the Vaccination Manager as required.
To support the Vaccination Manager to maintain local Vaccination oversight groups to ensure effective coordination of the services, share best practice and support the collective improvement of the service.
To co-ordinate and contribute to Vaccination specific Oversight Groups as agreed and determined by local need.
- To work collaboratively across the NHS England matrix, including integrating the National Director’s portfolio.

Operational
Engage and liaise with key stakeholders both internal and external. Taking lead on day-to-day liaison with own portfolio of providers.
