We are leading the revolution to create a future full of ambitious and determined individuals in the automotive industry.We are currently looking for a People &Payroll Assistant to join the team on a permanent full time basis. Your role as the People & Payroll Assistant will be to support the People Advisory team and Payroll Manager by providing advice and assistance to colleagues and prospective colleagues on all aspects of the employee life cycle and assisting with the preparation, process and administration of monthly payroll.**What you will do**:
- Own administration of the onboarding process, facilitating positive and timely documentation and communications between prospective colleagues, hiring managers, Recruitment, and the People Advisory team - contributing to a great colleague onboarding experience
- Organize all aspects of the colleague induction experience, including liaison with IT, company transport, uniform and benefits suppliers to arrange logins, equipment, uniform, cars and benefits (e.g. health insurance) as required; booking of rooms, lunches, travel, accommodation; set up of rooms and liaison with People Advisors to ensure presenters are available and prepared
- Ensure that pre-employment compliance checks, confirmation of employment and processes related to payroll are carried out accurately and in a timely manner, promptly identifying and escalating any issues to the People Advisory team for resolution
- Assist the People Advisory team with administration activities, including but not limited to: updates to employee records, updates to the HR system, production of regular and ad hoc reports, note taking for casework meetings
- Support effective communications with suppliers (e.g. catering), liaise with Finance to request POs and assist the People Leadership team with reconciliation of invoices/ credit card spend
**What you will need**:
- Experience of office-based administration and systems work
- Good working knowledge and experience using Excel and confident working with formulas and piviot tables
- Previous motor trade experience desirable
- Knowledge of good practice administration processes
- Knowledge of basic HR processes desirable.
- Previous payroll experience preferable
- System literate, ideally with previous experience of using an HR system
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
- Work as a team player and confidently on your own.
