**Responsibilities of our** **Lecturer in English**:

- Deliver teaching and learning across a range of qualification types, ensuring stretch, challenge, and engagement of learners.
- Plan and prepare lessons and contribute to all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans, online resources, etc.
- Mark learners work, providing meaningful feedback on how improvements can be made.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor learner attendance and progress, planning additional support when required.
- Fully engage with the quality assurance processes within the curriculum area.
- Attend team meetings and communicate with colleagues, sharing good practice within the curriculum area and the wider college when required.
- Represent the college at parent evenings, taster days, open days, careers, and other educational events.

**What we’re looking for in our** **Lecturer in English**:

- Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in english
- Subject specialism in english
- Previous experience of teaching english
- Experience of working with a wide range of students
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work with students of all ages in classroom, workshop and one to one situation, including students from Hull College School.
