**Role Overview**

We are seeking a Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. You will take responsibility for the installation, pipefitting, and commissioning of air-conditioning systems and associated mechanical services on complex projects such as data-centre cooling plants and large commercial buildings.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, pipefit, and commission VRV/VRF, split, and close-control air-conditioning systems.
- Carry out copper pipework fabrication, brazing, pressure testing, and leak detection in line with F-Gas and industry standards.
- Commission systems, including refrigerant charging, control setup, and performance testing.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications to deliver installations to design intent.
- Work collaboratively with electrical teams, project managers, and clients to ensure safe and timely completion.
- Complete all relevant documentation: commissioning sheets, F-Gas logs, and handover reports.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a tidy working environment, following UNG’s health & safety and quality procedures.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience in mechanical services installation, pipefitting, and commissioning of commercial air-conditioning systems.
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification (essential).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning or equivalent (preferred).
- Competent in brazing, pressure testing, and refrigerant handling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Pay: £16.00-£24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
