**What you'll do**:
In your new role, you'll work with the Retail Bank team to deliver leading customer service that combines the best digital experience with 24/7 access to our people. You'll be committed to improving our customers' financial health by becoming a digital engagement business built on data driven personalised insights, tips, and support. As such, you’ll drive the organisation to become customer centric, linking and making use of customer relationships data and presenting this to colleagues. You’ll also deliver better customer outcomes by being personal and relevant when interacting with our customers across all channels.

You’ll be setting the strategic direction and leveraging new capabilities delivered under the data strategy. You’ll lead the data delivery and strategy for Retail Banking, embedding data-led decision making across the bank through strong engagement and self-serve tools.

You’ll also be responsible for:

- Leading, motivating, and inspiring a team of data colleagues
- Fully embedding the D&A team into partner businesses, operating models, and matrix aligned structures
- Evidencing and tracking benefits delivered to support our customers and the bank using suitable and agreed metrics
- Defining, implementing, and maintaining appropriate data management protocols and business rules to ensure the secure and compliant management of data
- Collaboratively designing and implementing the agreed data strategy and align tracking systems to measure value delivery to Retail
- Aligning and integrating investment and change portfolios between each business and D&A, ensuring planned change improves and supports the integrity of the data assets
- Coordinating between Retail D&A and the Hub centralised capabilities in Data Governance, Data Science, Performance Insights, and Decisioning COEs to deliver value from the data assets

**The skills you'll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need extensive financial services domain knowledge with strong technical and analytical skills. Along with this you’ll have strong leadership skills, and the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll also need:

- A demonstrable track record of delivering major business critical and data change programmes with broad scopes, high levels of complexity, cross functional remits, and challenging deliverables
- The ability to lead, drive, manage, motivate, and develop large teams of people to high performance levels
- A proven ability to translate strategy into practical actions and the ability to align our analytics approach to our strategy
- A high level of drive and personal commitment to success, being proactive and tenacious in pursuing opportunities
