**The Role**
As a Risk or Senior Risk Manager, you will be responsible for risk management and data protection, managing a business continuity programme, and working on a risk insurance programme.
Additionally, you will:

- Manage GDPR and risk and compliance processes for the IMechE group
- Proactively advise stakeholders on GDPR and best practices in risk management and compliance
- Lead change management processes across the Institution in line with GDPR/Data protection principles
- Monitor compliance with external legal and regulatory obligations
- Manage and report on the Internal Audit programme
- Assist the Head of Programme Office on risk insurance for the Institution
- Lead the project to achieve and maintain ISO27001 compliance
- Develop working relationships and continuously maintain effective communications with the departmental managers
- Provide professional advice and guidance to IMechE managers and staff
- Lead, motivate and develop the Risk Executive
- Undertake any other reasonable requests from the Head of Programme Office and/or the Finance & Commercial Director
**About You**
To join us as a Risk or Senior Risk Manager, you will need:

- A good working knowledge of the GDPR regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience of working in a compliance and risk or regulatory role, as well as on a risk insurance programme
- To be able to manage a business continuity programme
- A good understanding of change and/or project management methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to suit your audience
- Great organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, PowerPoint desirable), SharePoint and risk management software
- To be able to work in a multi-site environment
Experience of working in not for profit, such as a membership or institution-based organisation, would be beneficial.
**The Benefits**:

- Salary of circa £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 28 days’ holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays
