Software Test Engineer

Our client is an innovative technology company, which is experiencing elevated growth due to continued success. As such, they are seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join their Taunton office.
As the Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all software is reliable, fully functional and user friendly before being released to the public. The ability to maintain rigorous compliance with project deliverables and industry/companystandards is key in this role.
The Role:
- Highlighting any risks and issues with mitigation and escalation advice to address problems and keep the deliveries on track
- Working with internal and external delivery teams, within a functional area to convert requirements into solid and scalable test suites
- Utilise test automation frameworks
- Coordinate and participate in feature requirements review for testability
- Responsible for end-to-end product quality, including defect management, status reporting, and escalation for critical issues discovered during the testing phase
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers and assist in debugging, testing, and development of tools to help identify defects
- Perform automated and manual testing, including regression testing for each release cycle to ensure software meets business, performance, and security requirements
- Drive and help to establish best practices and testing processes.
About you:

- Industry recognised qualification in testing e.g. ISTQB (desirable)
- A basic understanding of PHP (desirable).
Reward:
