Chopra & Associates Canterbury has an exciting opportunity for a dental receptionist. No previous experience is necessary, full training and support is provided.

**Reception responsibilities include**:

- Answer the telephones
- Welcome all patients arriving at the practice
- Ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate
- Collect and record patient payments

**Administration and finance**
- Ensure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and storing them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner
- Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts according to the practice policy
- Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required
- Send out patient recalls
- Compile day sheets
- Keep the office, reception area and waiting room clean and tidy
- Deputise for the practice manager
- Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
- Work at other practice locations from time to time as required

**Future prospects-**

With experience you may be able to move into jobs like Team Manager, Team Leader or Dental Practice Manager.

With further training, you could become a Dental nurse, Dental Therapist, helping a dentist carry out the more routine dentistry work. You could also become a Dental Hygienist, helping people to look after their teeth and gums.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
