Bury Hospice opened its doors in 1991 and since this time we have continued to provide invaluable palliative and end-of-life care to thousands of local residents and their families across Bury and the wider area.

The Hospice has a great opportunity for a part-time Warehouse Driver position to assist the Hospice’s retail team with the deliveries of stock and the collection of donations. This role will be based at our Sedgley Warehouse but will include driving across the borough of Bury, and outside of the area as required.

Some of the key roles and responsibilities for the role will include:

- Effectively and economically planning the collection and delivery of stock
- Safely moving various sized stock, some of which might be large and heavy
- Ensuring the recording the necessary Gift Aid information from donors to maximise Gift Aid return
- Guiding and working alongside volunteers
- Relevant cash handling duties including processing sales and banking cash
- Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times

Given the requirements for the role, you be required to have a full, clear driving licence and the ability to drive a van. Given the physical demands of the post, you will also be required to carry and manoeuvre heavy and cumbersome objects. Confidentiality and health and safety awareness are also key requirements for being successful within the role.

In return, the Hospice will provide a competitive salary, enhance annual leave and working with a passionate and dedicated service. This is position is permanent and part-time 30 hours per week.
