The Operating Theatre Department are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Theatre Administrator.

The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality administrative and confidential service to the Operating Theatre Department.

You will be expected to provide an efficient administration service delivering an efficient and effective service supporting the theatre manager and all staff within the operating theatre department in the management of staff records, health roster, theatre utilization, theatre Sapphire system, Procurement System (IPROC), Breast and Cosmetic Implant Registry and the National Joint Registry.

You will work with a degree of autonomy while working closely with all stakeholders internal and external, escalating and resolving administrative issues which may impact on the smooth running of the operating department where necessary.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. To provide a high quality administrative and confidential secretarial service to the Operating Theatre Department.

To enable, promote and support the effective recording and use of data,
information and knowledge to improve service delivery.
