Senior Payroll Officer

Working a part of a small team, as Senior Payroll Officer, you will have an important role to ensure the delivery of a great service is provided to colleagues. The role will involve the administration of all payroll activities, including inputting the monthlypayroll and answering payroll queries in a timely manner.
The role:
- Support and co-ordinate the day to day activities associated to the monthly payroll which will include the inputting, calculating and checking of payroll data.
- Be responsible for resolving any payroll queries. This will include the potential manual re-calculating of incorrect payments.
- Check pay data and prepare reports ready for sign off of the monthly payroll for payment.
- Support the Payroll Manager in the design of payroll solutions for the implementation of new contracts and payments.
- Identify changes to ensure payroll is legislatively compliant.
- Assist with the design of the monthly/ad hoc payroll reporting requirements. This will include testing of files.
- Support colleagues to ensure that they use the HR Payroll system competently and efficiently, this may involve delivering some training.
- Assist with Pension year end returns and assist the Pensions Manager with pension queries.
- Prepare starters and leavers details and liaise with our pensions administrators
You should be experienced within all payroll processes and ideally have knowledge of iTrent.
