Mon - Thu 8.30am - 4.30pm, Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm

**The Role**

We are looking to appoint a HLTA who wants to join an experienced, supportive, committed team of like-minded colleagues and make a real difference with our young people. Working alongside teaching staff and other teaching assistants, this post will support young people aged 11-18 years old who need help overcoming barriers to learning and physical limitations under the direction of the Head of SEND. The role also includes working with identified students and preparing one-to-one or group intervention to provide coping strategies and learning within school.

The successful applicant will be a role model, listener, facilitator for learning, and a motivator. You may have previous experience as a teaching assistant, workshop leader or youth worker, or may have a background in the Army, youth offending service, or teaching and youth sector. An academic specialism in English, Maths, or Science would be beneficial.

The team is well-established and highly supportive of one another. Led by a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the team works collaboratively, always putting the needs of our students at the forefront of what we do. **We would love to show you round our academy.**

The Ken Stimpson Academy is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire and there are 1020 pupils on its roll.
