**About the store**

Specsavers in Charlton Riverside first opened its doors in 2018. The store is in a large Sainsburys superstore within a popular retail park. The loyal and growing customer base includes many shoppers visiting stores in Greenwich shopping park such as Marks and Spencer as well as those visiting the nearby Brocklebank shopping outlet.

The store has 2 optical test rooms and 1 hear care room all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT, meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards. We offer enhanced clinical services including MECS glaucoma testing and cataract appointments. Specsavers in Charlton Riverside have a clear-sighted vision to transform eye health in their community.

A team of 10 dedicated colleagues call this store home. The existing Partners are passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Optometry Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

You would be joining an existing Optometry Partner who has been with Specsavers for over 30 years and Retail Partner has over 20 years’ experience. Both have been in Charlton Specsavers for around 2 years.

**Store Location**

The store is located in Charlton, a market town that runs along the south bank of the river Thames, close to Greenwich, the Thames Barrier, London City Airport and the O2. It has its own lido and football team as well as many parks and houses of historical interest. With excellent transport links, Charlton train station is a 7 minute walk from the store where you can easily get a train into London or if driving, access to the main trunk roads such as the A2 is less than 2 miles away and the M25 and M20 is around 15 miles from the store.

**Requirements of the role**

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, you’ll need to share the store’s ethos. They’re looking for someone who wants to grow and develop the team, offer exceptional customer care and improve patient outcomes. You’ll be a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach, and someone who is keen to get involved and build a rapport with their team. In summary, you’ll be a highly skilled Optometry professional willing and able to help drive the practice forward.
