A well-established freight forwarding company headquartered in England, specialising in Sea and Air Freight, European Logistics, Bulk Haulage and UK and Domestic Transport Services, are looking to recruit an **Export Documentation Clerk** to join their team in **Dudley, West Midlands**.

**The Role**:
The Export Documentation Clerk role will be well suited for a person who has key attention to detail, takes pride in their level of work, and someone who would enjoy data inputting in various varieties - dealing with paperwork, and customs entries relatingto exporting cargo around the world.

The Export Documentation Clerk would also be required to handle VGM’s via online CNS and destin8 portals.

**Working Hours**:
8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Raising bill of lading instructions from shipper’s invoice or shipping instructions and sending to relevant supplier from either our company Box Top system or ocean carriers’ online portals
- Checking bill of lading is acceptable prior to sending to client for approval
- Making required amendments to documents, where required
- Entering VGM via CNS or Destin8 online portals
- Approval of bills of lading and arranging post to customers
- Raising UK customs entry via online portal ASM Sequoia
- Completing certificates of origin / ATR / EUR1 via Ecert
- Working to customs and bill of lading deadlines set by ocean carriers
- Raising export paperwork for customers or letters of credit where/when needed (not essential but would be a plus point)

**To Be Considered**:

- Proven experience checking and raising Bills of Lading instructions to carriers.
- Team player
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail when needing to comply with various shipping requirements for different clients
- Ability to use own initiative to solve daily challenges
- Ability to think on your feet and work to deadlines
- Have pride in the work they produce
- Knowledge of word and excel
