A rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Employment Law Specialist (inhouse) to join a busy, growing, and ambitious organisation based in the North East.

Working closely with the Head of Employee Relations you will promote a positive Employee Relations environment, developing and coaching stakeholders in delivering a legally compliant and consistent best practice approach.

This will be a busy and hands on role responsible for entire claim from initial receipt to Final Hearing including disclosure, bundles, preparation of witness statements and own advocacy at Final Hearings, instructing Counsel only in exceptional circumstances.

You will play a key role in supporting and guiding HR colleagues and line mangers providing high level legal advice and guidance to ensure all risk to the business is mitigated covering a wide range of matters including absence, disciplinaries, grievance,organisational change. You will be a qualified solicitor or hold a Law degree and have extensive experience in tribunal, litigation, and advocacy.

The head office is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and although this role can be done remotely, there will be occasional travel involved.

Salary highly competitive plus benefits including Life Assurance, Individual Private Medical Insurance and up to 15% bonus.
