**The Position**

The Asset Management Department is responsible for a growing fleet of renewable energy assets.
RES are expanding their Advisory Services offering by developing a team within our Asset Management Department to provide consultancy services to meet our clients requirements. We are looking for an experienced renewables consultant to build and manage this team.
The position of ‘Advisory Services Team Lead’ will be responsible for developing the UK&I AM Advisory Services team and leading on all client facing Advisory Services activities across our AM portfolio. There will be initial support available from existing staff within the Asset Management Team.
This role will report to the Head of Operations Support in the UK&I and will also work closely with the Asset Managers, Business Development Managers, Operations Support Team, AM Finance Team and other departments within RES.
**Key Accountabilities**
As Advisory Services Team Lead you will:
- Undertake technical, project management, commercial and customer-facing activities.
- Promote Advisory Services to clients and ensuring RES is maximising potential revenues from these workstreams, with a focus on key accounts.
- Increase and manage RES’ exposure to the target markets through client engagement, conference sessions and roundtable events.
- Manage regular communication with target clients and provide feedback to the business units to refine the product offering.
- Understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals to internal and external stakeholders
- Be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end delivery of Advisory Services and one-off projects on behalf of clients including due diligence, owners engineering and general technical advisory.
- Manage P&L within Advisory Services Team
- Ensure all Advisory Services activity is linked back to the client specific Value Enhancement Plans - demonstrating the value of RES as Asset Managers
- Support our growth and cost reduction targets
**Reporting**
- Act as first point of contact within UK&I Asset Management Team for all Advisory Service related issues.
- Prepare & deliver presentations and reports for Asset Management team and clients
**Internal Engagement**
- Coordinating resources within the Advisory Services Team where necessary and ensuring that appropriate contracts are agreed with clients and time and cost is accounted for appropriately within the business
- Ensure the quality of work meets clients expectations
- Work with all internal stakeholders, and any sub-contractors. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.
- Supporting the development of proposals to secure new work
- Responsibility for the financial performance of any projects managed
- Mentor and support less experienced team members.
- Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities.
**External Engagement**
- Work with clients to identify their requirements and key points of contact
- Attending client meetings and undertaking site visits within the UK and globally
**Knowledge**
- Understanding of technical aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of wind turbine, battery energy storage systems and solar technology.
- Established network of contacts within the renewables industry
