Dog Daycare Assistant/cover Driver

Bruce's is an established doggy day care company with a fantastic reputation, and we are looking for a Doggy Daycare Assistant/cover driver to join our team
We own a purpose built 16 acre daycare facility, located around 35 mins north of Central London, where our dogs spend the day playing and socializing in the countryside each day. Dogs are picked up from their homes in London by our staff and transported out to our country retreat each day in our vans before being brought back into the city in the evening.
We are looking to take on a Daycare Assistant/Cover Driver to add to our team. This Role consists of covering drivers when they are on holiday or need sick cover and when not covering, the role would be that of a normal daycare assistant.
When covering, you would be responsible for driving a route and collecting dogs from their London homes in the mornings and bringing them out to our daycare facility, where you would be working with the dogs each day in the daycare, playing with them and keeping them entertained, and making sure they behave themselves You would also be responsible for cleaning and washing dogs and equipment amongst other duties. At the end of the day, you would drive the dogs back home and return them to their owners in London. All commuting to routes when covering will be paid for.
The successful applicant must love dogs, must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, be honest and trustworthy and calm under pressure. You must have a valid UK driving license and be comfortable driving a mid sized or large van (LWB VW Transporter). If you don't have professional experience working with dogs, that's fine. A passion for animal care and determination to learn is what we look for
It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excited and playful dogs You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to ensure the safety of all of the dogs at all times. Within the daycare, our staff to dog ratio is around 1:10 and you will be part of a team working together each day. You should also be happy working in any weather as no matter how hard it rains, our dogs have still got to be exercised and looked after throughout the day

- Fri, and pay is £23,998 per year.
We are looking to take people on who enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking to work with us for a significant period of time. We will not consider applicants who are looking for part time, holiday or short term work.
We rely heavily on our team and reliability is absolutely essential for our dogs and their owners. We need you to turn up on time everyday without fail
