This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to lead a successful and dynamic procurement team in a fast paced, high volume environment.
You will work with multiple stakeholders to ensure all procurement and supply activities are carried our effectively and efficiently to ensure that key objectives and deliverables are achieved.
The team are based in Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth with excellent hybrid/remote working capability and expectation to be at site when required but not on a full time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, control and manage the Procurement team such that staff are developed, utilised and deployed effectively, employee performance and motivation is maximised to meet organisational standards and requirements
- Ensure the proactive management of key procurement processes, in particular the Requisition to Pay (R2P) process
- Monitor, measure and manage KPIs, developing plans, approaches and improvement plans to ensure performance exceeds KPI targets
- Review team performance to ensure that all work is completed within agreed timescales, such that work is distributed across staff effectively and service levels are achieved
- Liaise with the wider-procurement and category management teams to ensure operational requirements are captured and to feedback on supplier performance and recurring issues
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the department is operating effectively and efficiently, in a standardised manner
Experience Required
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
- MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification
You will need to satisfy security requirements prior to start and should be a UK British passport holder
