Biotest is a global provider of plasma protein products and biotherapeutic drugs. Biotest products are primarily used in the areas of clinical immunology, haematology, and intensive care medicine. They are used to treat people with serious and often chronicdiseases in a targeted manner.
Biotest UK is expanding, and we are looking for a Medical Affairs Manager in the UK to join our thriving team - could this be you? We are looking for an individual to develop a strong medical affairs function in the UK and lead the Medical Affairs team. Youwill be offering scientific support, building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders as well as leading and managing the MSLs. Interested?
**As the Medical Affairs Manager your responsibilities will include**:

- Leadership and management of the Medical Affairs team developing and leading the function, planning medical activities, and managing the resources.
- Medical training and scientific support of relevant stakeholders.
- Engaging and working closely with Key Opinion Leaders, identifying thought leaders for ad boards, conference speaking and clinical research.
- Responding to medical and scientific enquiries and developing scientific presentations and other non-promotional activities.
- Working within the current relevant codes of practice.
- Internal medical signatory for activities & materials.

**You will have**:

- A Health science related education; PhD, PharmD or MD
- Complementary experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/healthcare industry.
- Medical Affairs or Healthcare experience and a good understanding of the NHS environment.
- A good working knowledge of the ABPI code of practice.

The role is based in the Birmingham Head Office currently with 2 days working from home each week. Occasional national & international travel may also be required.
