Catering Assistant

**Role Purpose**:
You will also support in the training and development of a group of individuals who have a physical or learning disability (referred to as clients in this job description), ensuring that their individual needs are met and their independence is promoted.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will always deliver a high standard of customer service.
- You will prepare and serve food, maintaining quality and presentation at all times.
- You will prepare and serve barista coffee and other drinks, maintaining quality and presentation at all times.
- You will collaborate and communicate with your colleagues to ensure a smooth service flow.
- You will comply with food hygiene regulations, ensuring that all legal paperwork is filled out within the desired timeframe and that the café maintains its 5* food hygiene rating.
- You will comply with Allergen legislation, ensuring that the cafes allergen procedures are followed.
- You will complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks to ensure that the cafes is kept to a high standard or cleanliness.
- You will be required to attend and complete training, including online modules.
- You are required to complete daily and weekly banking tasks and paperwork to a satisfactory standard.
- You will be required to open and secure the building as a key holder.
- You are required to attend staff meetings and contribute to the cafe’s development.
- You must comply with the employee dress code at all times.
- You will comply with all of Pure Innovations policies and procedures
- You will support in the training and support of our clients who will work alongside you on a daily basis.
- You will provide feedback on clients progress, help them to achieve their goals and liaise with the cafes support worker to aide their individual progression.

**Requirements**:

- Food preparation/ cooking training.
- Front-of-house training.
- Previous experience working both front-of-house and kitchen duties.
- Food hygiene and allergens knowledge.
- Strong food preparation/ cooking skills.
- Effective time management skills, to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong customer care and service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- IT Skills to enable use of the till and tablet.

**Time Scales**:

- Interviews will be held on the 8th and 9th of January 2024 at Etherow Café.

Pay: £13,140.00 per year
