**Essential criteria: Applicant must have previous community care experience and be a driver with a UK driving liscence and use of own vehicle.**

APT care are looking for new carers to join the **Peterborough** community care team

This job role involves visiting different properties in the postcode areas above and therefore it is a must that applicants drive with use of their own car. People that do not drive, will not be considered for this role.

As a domiciliary care provider, we support elderly people within their own homes with their everyday needs that help to keep them safe at home for longer.

**The job role includes -**
- **PERSONAL CARE SUPPORT; WASHING, DRESSING AND CHANGING CONTINENCE ITEMS SUCH AS PADS.**:

- **MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION DUTIES**:

- **REPORTING TO THE OFFICE AND COMMUNITY DISTRICT NURSES**:

- **MEAL PREPARATIONS**:

- **END OF LIFE CARE**:

- **DEMENTIA CARE, LEARNING DISIBILITIES & PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS**:

- **SHOPPING, MEDICATION COLLECTIONS AND LIGHT DOMESTIC DUTIES**:

- **TOILETING SUPPORT**:

- **MANUAL HANDLING SUCH AS HOISTING**:

- **COMPANIONSHIP & WELLBEING SUPPORT**

This position is full time with AM and Lunch (6am-2pm) or tea and PM shifts (3pm-10pm). With a set day off and weekend work commitments of every other weekend or one day every weekend.

We use electronic app systems to record care records, travel and mileage which all applicants will be required to use for every visit.

We are looking for experienced and passionate carers that will support people in our care with dignity, respect and a professional manner at all times. With a caring personality, strong reliability and a passion to work in care

All our staff receive full induction training including the care certificate. With ongoing refreshers, additional tailored training and are also expected to do their NVQ/QCF level 2 & 3 post probation.

Next full induction training dates are in September and October 2024.

Pay: £12.01-£12.26 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
