**Could you support people with a learning disability to live more independently? No experience needed.**

You'll join us as a Support Worker, supporting David*. He is 62 and lives in a bungalow in the village of St Martin, near Owestry. He has a learning disability. You'll support him to with his hobbies and interests, he loves baking, arts and crafts, gardening and music. He enjoys quiet days in, as well as sitting in the garden enjoying the sunshine and nature.
He is supported by staff to attend groups a couple of times a week and enjoys interaction with his friends.

We will provide you with full training and back-up from our specialist teams and your colleagues.

The role is part-time for 20 hours per week, and you'll take your turn on a rota which includes days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

**Training and Development**

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.

But it doesn't stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams. These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.
