**The Role**

This is a hybrid role: think part sales, part customer service, part driving and part administration. You will report directly to your store manager and will be assisting in all aspects of the stores sales performance in order to grow and develop the business. A sales and or customer service background is essential in this progressive environment and would suit a commercially focused individual.

**Sales Responsibilities**
- Advising new and existing customers on the best storage solution for their particular needs
- Genral administration
- Letting of rooms
- Selling of merchandise
- Selling of insurance
- Following up enquiries
- Managing existing accounts and general administrative tasks
- Processing of cash / card and BACS payments
- Credit Control
- Develop and sustain sales activities to ensure maximum profit is achieved

**Driving Responsibilities include**:

- Delivery of stock; to and collection from customers
- Loading and unloading stock & fully completing required paperwork
- Locating goods within units within self-storage facilities

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Flexible availability - including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Live within 30 minutes travelling time of the store
- Hold a full driving licence (preferred)

**Essential Skills**
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales and/or retail environment
- Excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life
- Computer literate
- Possess communication skills
- A hands on and CAN-DO attitude

**Preferred but not Essential Experience within**:
Self-Storage / Removals / Retail / Direct Sales / Customer Services / Financial Services

**Hours of Work**

Rota shifts during store opening times of:

- Monday to Friday 08.00 to 19.00
- Saturday 09.00 to 18.00
- Sunday 10.00 to 16:00

- £9.50 per hour + commission of up to £2,000 a year (£23,000 OTE)
