To be responsible for the complete care of the Sisters and the Community, this includes:

- Communicating, observation and reporting.
- Bed-making, occupied beds and use of bed aids.
- Dressing and undressing.
- Bathing in a bathroom or showering.
- Moving and handling and the use of hoists.
- Positioning of patients and pressure area care.
- Care of Sisters hair, teeth, eyes and hearing aids.
- Helping with the Sisters mobility
- Maintaining the Sisters independence.
- Undertake such escort duties as requested by senior members of staff.
- Deal with incontinence problems tactfully and kindly.
- Assist in simple repairs to Sisters clothing and marking clothing.
- Answer emergency bells, giving help or summoning assistance as required.
- Answer the door, assisting visitors as necessary.
- Answer the telephone or take an accurate message in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Carry out such cleaning/laundry tasks as may be required on that shift.
- Working within the team
- Ensure all problems are reported to senior members of staff on duty.
- Take an active part in induction of newer members of staff.
- Take an active part in staff meetings and mandatory training.
- Hold NVQ level 2
- Attend identified and agreed courses as may enhance your role and service delivery to Sisters.
- Take an active part in supervision.
- Nutrition
- Table and tray setting.
- Aids for eating and drinking.
- Serving meals.
- Assisting those with difficulties.
- Procedures

Administration of eye and ear drops.

Taking simple observations i) Temperature
- i) Pulse
- iii) Respiration's
- iv) Blood Pressure

- Fluid balance charts.
- Diversional Therapy.
- Palliative Care.
- To undertake any training seen to be necessary to carry out duties more effectively.
- To maintain the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the Community at all times.
- To maintain any necessary documentation.
- To be aware cost effective use of resources.
- To report any concerns or defective equipment.

There is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for females only.

**Salary**: £10.70-£13.38 per hour
