We are an **eco-conscious successful ecommerce and local health shop **looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an **experienced Supervisor.**
For this position you will need to be very well organized and able to prioritize jobs.. For this job you need to be a quick learner and know how to adapt quickly to use a range of different skill sets. IT literacy is a must have skill for this position.
**Your contributions will include**:
- Overseeing daily operations: the supervisor will ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes monitoring staff performance, workflow, and productivity in our warehouse team, office team and local retail shop team.
- Staff training on the company's processes and standards.
- Monitoring staff performance, setting goals and objectives for the team members. Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans when necessary
- Preparing and submitting reports on various aspects of the operation, such as productivity, performance metrics, and any incidents or issues that occur.
- Resource Management: Managing and allocating resources such as materials, equipment, and labour to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that arise in the workplace, including employee conflicts, equipment malfunctions, or customer complaints.
- Health & safety supervision, maintaining records, employees training, inspecting equipment and work areas, reporting and addressing issues.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing health and safety policies.
- Assisting in the recruitment process, participating in interviews and making recommendations.
- Onboarding new employees, ensuring they complete necessary paperwork, and providing initial training and orientation.
- Liaising with suppliers
- Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all operations comply with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Support Director in a variety of other tasks
Previous experience in a similar role is required. You will need to also have an excellent telephone manner and communication.
DBS check will be required for this position.
**Required criteria**:
3 years of experience in management/supervision
**Desirable criteria**:
- Passion for the environment and sustainability;
- Attention to details
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Computer literacy, MS Office CRM software, inventory management software, google apps.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify
- Knowledge of online sales processes and customer service
- Understanding of warehouse operation
- Experience in logistics and distribution processes
- Decision-making abilities
- Continuous Improvement
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Be good with numbers
- Good accurate typing skills
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Have own transport and driving license
