Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partnership schools to look for a teaching assistant to join their team.
They are looking for someone with a kind, caring and enthusiastic manner who has a genuine passion for helping others.
The school caters for young people aged 19-25 with a variety of complex and severe needs.
Based in Cheadle, the role of a teaching assistant will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in the delivery, planning and management of resources for activities and lessons.
- To work as part of a team and build good relationships with students and staff
- Use several different strategies and techniques to support the students learning and develop social, emotional and communication skills.

The ideal teaching assistant will have:
- Experience in working with people with SEN.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and use de escalation techniques.
The school has a fantastic array of facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, an audiology clinic and lots of different sensory rooms for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
