We are looking for someone to join the team at our successful Gloucester Road store If you are passionate about charity, fashion, second hand, recycling and want to use your skills to make a real difference, then we want to hear from you Our shops play a vital role in generating income to help provide our service throughout Bristol and at the hospice. This role is perfect if you are looking to gain experience in retail, want to further develop your skills and to go home with the feel good factor, knowing you are contributing to the care of patients and their families.

The details:

- Working 14 hours per week, 2 days in 7 (1 set day to be Sundays)
- Salary: £19,161 per annum FTE
- Based at our Gloucester Road shop
- Permanent position

Key responsibilities:

- In the absence of any other management to open and close the store and to be responsible for ensuring that the store trades safely and legally
- To assist the management team in achieving profit targets by reducing costs and maximising sales
- To operate as part of the overall shop team, willingly carrying out any tasks necessary to ensure the success and smooth running of the shop
- To support delivering a high standard of presentation throughout, windows and shop floor
- To assist the management team in implementing any changes as required to ensure optimum sales
- To assist the management team in generating and encouraging all stock donations from the public
- Actively supporting and demonstrating our values through your role
- Promotion of diversity and gender rights

- Excellent leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to earn trust, motivate and build rapport
- High levels of organisation with a proactive approach
- Open and adaptable to change and able to support others through it
- Inspired to face the challenges of charity retailing
- Previous retail experience would be useful but not essential
