Supervisor Hard Services

**Job Overview**:

- Responsible for the delivery of hard services activities in compliance with contract SLAs at the County Hall Complex
- To carry out duties in compliance with Mitie's Policies and Procedures
- To drive and promote Mitie's Values and Behaviours
- Drive the highest level of results on H&S
- Ensure company & account objectives/initiatives are implemented
- Driving the focus and highest level of performance from the Operational Delivery Teams and Contractors
- Ensure best practice guidelines are adhered to and continuously improved
- Identify risks & opportunities both commercial & operational.
- Take a continuos improvement approach to all plant / assets and building fabric

**Main Duties**
- Provide operational support, information and reports as requested to the RFM
- Ensure the clients premises are maintained to the highest standard by undertaking routine walk rounds and taking a proactive approach to repairs. Record results.
- Escalation of issues to provide early warning of defects
- Attend meetings where required
- Manage the engineering team including attendance, sickness, annual leave, punctuality, productivity, quality of work, behaviour in line with MITIE Values.
- Conduct 6m & annual appraisels (MiReviews) and 1-2-1's.
- Provide technical support to the team.
- Ensure statutory & mandatory compliance across the ECC estate
- Monitor MI Reporting and ensure engineer performance / productivity is maximised
- Manage PPM, Reactive and Quoted work in line with contract KPI's. 25% PPM's to be completed weekly and 100% PPM to be completed in month.
- Statutory remedial works to be completed within the contract KPI's
- Ensure breached RW & QW are dealt with immediately.
- Monitor and action the WPLAN report daily keeping jobs to a minimum
- Audit 5% of PPM per month
- Undertake site surveys and provide quotes for new works
- Responsible for all sub contractor activities so there is minimum impact to the client
- Undertake ‘Stop Work Audits' for sub contractor related works
- Review RAMS for sub-contractor related works.
- Proactively manage H&S, ensuring we provide a safe working environment, engendering and maintaining a safety driven culture, ensuring all legislative and company policies, processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure van, tool, PPE, test equipment, ladder checks are completed and recorded
- Monitor the number of hazards reported and encourage/train all members of the team to identify and report hazards.
- Undertake monthly TBT
- Ensure engineers are competent in the operation of the on site systems, develop and implement a training programme
- Monitor available training courses and book in engineers as required.
- Keep costs to a minimum by utilising on site staff where possible before engaging sub-contractors
- Approval of material quotes up to £1k and monitor impact on managed fund
- Develop Standard & Emergency Operating Procedures
- Prepare and submit various operational, accident, incident reports
- Provide quotes for any new works
- Undertake an asset verification exercise and ensure Maximo is kept updated with any changes to assets/PPM
- Develop and maintain good relationships both Internally & externally
- Assist with the development of the Forward Maintenance Register and capital expenditure budgeting.
- Attend meetings/handovers for Capital / Lifecycle replacement work.
- Where a fault is related to a new project and still in warranty it must be escalated to the Project Manager / Project Director. A written report and photos must be provided.
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
Report actual and suspected security incidents;

**What we are looking for**:

- Electrical / Mechanical qualification to C&G Tech standard.
- Health & Safety qualification/certificate
- Previous Supervisory experience mandatory.
- Sound knowledge of building services / plant & systems.
- PC literate (Outlook/Word/Excel)
