Trainee Sign and Graphics Maker

We have a vacancy for a trainee sign and graphics maker. Previous sign making experience would be a benefit but on-site training will be provided. Installation experience would also be a benefit but not essential. You will be predominantly working in our factory assisting with the production of all types of signage but could be required to travel with our fitting engineers to clients premises across the UK. A full clean driving licence would be preferable and you could be required to occasionally work away from home.

Key skills needed or to be acquired would include:

- A working knowledge of sign making machinery to include vinyl plotters, printers, laminators, laser cutting machines.
- The ability to work with a wide range of signage substrates, systems and individual letters and be competent in making electrical connections for illuminated signs.
- You will gain an understanding of Health and Safety requirements of the sign industry and will obtain your CSCS card as a minimum.
- You will need to have a professional and positive outlook.
- Be comfortable working to deadlines, whilst maintaining high standards.
- Have a friendly, positive and helpful nature, with a clear understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.
- Be a team player but be able to use your own initiative to resolve problems.
- Be flexible in your attitude towards the working day.

Salary is dependant on experience but will be above the National Living Wage thresholds for each age category.
