**Information Security Analyst - Liverpool with Hybrid Working** We are partnered with one of the largest Employers in the region, a leading Russell Group University who are looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their Team. A leader within their sector, they work in partnership with enterprisetechnology partners and utilise cutting edge technology. The university operates on a large-scale with over 30,000 users and has a world class reputation. Operating a Hybrid working model, there is a split of onsite and remote working. In addition to the salary offered there are exceptional benefits which include an unrivalled pension scheme that with employer contribution in excess of 20% as well as in excessof 35 days of holiday. **Essential Skills** - Experience in an information security compliance or information governance role. - Experience in an advisory role, ideally in a Higher Education environment. - Demonstrable experience in using risk assessment methodologies to escalate and communicate areas for improvement. - Experience of providing training to colleagues. - Understanding of security technologies (encryption, privacy by design, privileged access, etc). - Demonstrable understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NHS DSPT, PCI-DSS, NIST, etc. - Good understanding of GDPR, data protection, and information security requirements. **Key Skills and Responsibilities** - Be responsible for advising on and building in security improvements, accountable processes and effective documentation supporting the projects. - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (with mínimal supervision) to assess and advise on security projects, present findings, updates, or reports on business problems both verbally and in written format, to key stakeholders and colleagues. - Have the ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to work with diverse customers. - Carry out security compliance checks, recording and communicating findings. - Develop and deliver training on information security, policies, information governance and accountability.
