**Ghinn & Co is a long-established construction company carrying out high quality residential projects in Surrey and Sussex and is based near Hascombe, Godalming, Surrey.**

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an **Accounts Assistant** to support the team.

Reporting to the Financial Manager and working alongside the office team at Ghinn & Co, you will experience a wide range of tasks, initially focused on purchase ledger, time sheets and general finance admin support, but with the expectation that the role can develop to include additional tasks such as bank reconciliations, payroll etc.

It is an office-based role, as we are based in a rural location your own transport is essential.

We are initially seeking someone able to work 10 hours per week.

We are happy to offer flexible working hours between 9.00-5.00.

**Experience in general bookkeeping and finance administration is essential, experience in the use of Sage desirable.**

Good organisational skills and attention to detail essential.

**Key Tasks**:

- Coding purchase invoices, checking against purchase orders, and entering into accounting (Sage) and/or construction management system
- Time sheet inputting/checking
- Reconciling supplier accounts for month end payments
- Chasing overdue Sales Invoices
- Collecting and reviewing data for reports
- Reconciliation of credit cards and matching to receipts
- Reporting discrepancies
- Assisting with other administrative tasks within the finance team that may arise from time to time

**Potential Future Tasks**:

- Preparing sales invoices and sending to customers
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Posting journals
- Payroll and pension support
- VAT returns
- Subcontractor tax certs
