**Warehouse Operative - Aylesford / Kent**

**Role Summary**:
This is a fantastic opportunity, working within a small team to help sort and collate customers’ goods within a busy warehouse environment. Health & Safety plays a strong role within our working environment and you will need to take responsibility toward safe working practices, as well as undertaking training courses such as first aid, fire warden and fork lift etc. The role is hands-on and you will need to have a passion for attention to detail, with a sense of pride and determination in your work that ensures our customers always receive outstanding service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Organization of packing area.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment, daily checks and forms.
- Adherence to all Abel & Cole health and safety policies and practices at all times.
- Maintaining open and regular communication with the Team Leader.
- Making sure correct stock rotation is followed.
- Work within a small team to unload and load intersite trailer and delivery vans.
- Collate and sort products according to run sheets.
- Ensure that all security procedures are followed and that depot is secure after shift.
- Highlight any issues surrounding trailer arrival or departures.
- Lead by example and encourage employees to follow company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean working environment at all the times, including warehouse, office and communal areas.
- Prepare and complete morning reports.
- Deputize for Team Leader in their absence.
- General warehouse duties.
- Comply with any reasonable request which may differ from regular duties.
- Act as an ambassador for our B Corp values: make all decisions with our social and environmental impact in mind and look for opportunities, no matter how small, to use our business as a force for good.
**Skills and Experience**:

- A confident and effective communicator.
- Professional, honest and dependable.
- Proven ability to multi-task when needed.
- Flexibility to work across other departments within the warehouse.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg as required.
- Good level of English.
- Computer literate (Basic IT Knowledge).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Positive attitude and able to work with others and individually.
- Located within a reasonable commute to Aylesford, Kent.
- Happy to work in a chilled environment (8 degrees).
- Previous warehouse experience desirable but not essential.
- Counterbalance FLT licence desirable but not essential as we can provide training.
