**PURPOSE OF THE POST**:
To ensure the efficiency / availability of machinery is maximised through the organisation of Equipment and completion of equipment maintenance within Ready meals production. Provide hands on support to the Line Technicians and play a key role in escalation to engineering.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Equipment within production areas must be maintained in accordance with PUWER 1998 regulations and IEE regulations.
- To ensure Company standards are maintained through laid down procedures and specifications.
- To work safely in accordance with site and departmental procedures, observing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Food Safety Act 1990.
- To maintain Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Maintain High Risk workshop standards as agreed with Line Technician Manager.
- Tool & Toolbox control in High Risk/High Care & Low Care. Ensure correct use and care of all tools meeting standards agreed with Line Technician Manager.
- Work alongside Line Technicians to provide first response to breakdowns in production areas with the purpose to resolve or escalate any equipment issues to engineering.
- Complete Changeovers when required of production lines throughout the day ensuring equipment on the line is set up and being used correctly.
- Breakdown Escalation. Reporting any equipment failure to Team Leader/ Manager.
- PPM completion of tasks
- Paperwork, recording of downtime.
- Signing of team PPM paperwork
- Completion of routine maintenance on key equipment in production areas.
