Grill Cook

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the head chef in food preparation and cooking on the grill
- Ensure all food items are cooked to perfection and meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and grill cooking methods
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bishop Auckland: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 3 years (required)
- Cooking: 3 years (required)
- Kitchen experience: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and Allergens (required)
