Full Time Gardener Wanted for Private Estate in Cheshire

We need an experienced full time Sole Gardener for our privately owned 19 acre estate in Cheshire near Sandiway. The person needs to be self motivated with good horticultural knowledge who is capable of working efficiently and on their own initiative.

The estate consists of 3 acres of gardens encompassing lawns, herbaceous borders and an all weather tennis court and a further 16 acres of land including woodland and a small lake.

Applicants will need experience of day to day maintenance of large gardens. In addition they need knowledge of basic machinery maintenance, driving tractors with grass cutting attachments and good plant knowledge. They need the ability to plan and organise work and organise machinery maintenance. Other duties include tennis court maintenance and other estate duties. The applicant will need to have a full driving licence, good communication skills and be a non smoker/non vaper as well as being reliable, flexible and happy to help out with other estate jobs.

Duties will include:
Lawn maintenance and care

Basic knowledge of horticultural practices eg maintaining herbaceous borders, pruning and pest control.

Strimming

Weeding and chemical spraying - Chemical spray certificate needed.

Hedge trimming

Garden and grounds maintenance

Fencing work

Tractor driving with attachments

Competence in operation and maintenance of all garden machinery.

Working Week - Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm.

**Salary**: £24,500.00pa with 20days paid holiday per annum.

**Experience**:

- gardening and ground/estate maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

Certificates required: Chemical Spraying ( all parts)

Chainsaw

Pay: £24,500.00 per year
