Assystem are a key multi-framework engineering partner helping to design, construct, and commission the UK's first large-scale nuclear power station in 30 years.
You will be joining our expanding team of over 7000 delivering innovative engineering across a spectrum of digital, energy transition and Nuclear technologies such as fusion and modularisation alongside key global large-scale critical Infrastructure projects.
A Quality Project Office Controller is required to join Assystem working on Hinkley Point C (HPC) the UK’s first large-scale nuclear power station in 30 years. The Quality Project Office Controller will provide a Project Controls support to the Quality Department. The role primarily provides financial and delivery oversight and support to the Quality Lead Team.
The Quality Project Office Controller is a full-time role which reports to the Quality Project Office Manager. The objective of the role is to develop and maintain a consistent set of reports to give management information to the Quality Lead Team on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
**Activities**
- Our key objective is to ensure that the Quality Department is engaging proactively with its key stakeholders to support the ongoing operation and development of the Quality Department
- To ensure the department members are able to promote and raise the profile of Quality both within HPC Project and with specific external stakeholders.
- Update all Quality Department members on any key dates for the year
- Raise awareness of the importance of Quality on HPC Project and how it should be a part of our working lives
- Promote the Quality values within the project and supply chain
- Ensure the off-site organisation’s understanding of Quality and its roles
- Provide Quality benchmarking information from other large infrastructure projects
- Provide awareness of Professional Quality Organisations
- Provide clarity and promote awareness around how quality is tested and maintained on the project

**Knowledge & Skills**
Essential
- Position requires experience in working around complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Financial acumen
- Development of Management Reports
- Understanding of Project Management principles
- Good stakeholder management experience at senior management level
- Confident and articulate communicator, able to prepare presentation material, and comfortable addressing individuals, small groups and very large audiences.
- A team player who recognizes how their position impacts and influences others.
- Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative.
Desirable
- PowerBI Experience
- SAP Experience
- Knowledge of the nuclear sector and/or Construction Projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- 5 years plus in a technical project environment
Desirable
- Experience of the nuclear sector (ideally new build)
- Financial management
- Experience in a large matrixed organisation
