Clayton Engineering Limited specialise in the design and manufacture of launch and recovery equipment for lifeboats. Recently acquired by the **RNLI** we support them to **save lives at sea** by manufacturing **high quality equipment** and sustaining its life in service. Our vehicles are often featured on the BBC TV Program 'Saving Lives at Sea', and can be seen at many of the RNLI Boathouses across the country.

The company has a 7-acre site based in **Knighton** in **Mid Wales** on the **Powys** / **Shropshire** / **Herefordshire** border. Easily commutable from Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Leominster or Hereford.

We offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience. 39 hours per week, 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on a Friday (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break each day). You will start with 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), rising by one day for each completed year of service up to 25 days.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the administration of weekly production plans at shopfloor level that reflect the sales forecast and top-level production plan.
- Generate workbooks for Goods In, Manufacturing & Assembly Operations including appropriate drawings, technical instructions & modification documents etc
- Produce kits lists for Stores inline with production plan to support kitting operations.
- Ensure all relevant departmental documentation is produced and company processes followed.
- Monitor, review and update business spreadsheets
- General admin tasks such as photocopying, filing, scanning, etc.
- Work closely with other members of Admin team.
- To become involved in other ad hoc tasks as required

**Qualifications**
- Strong results in Core GCSE’s
- Minimum intermediate level in use of MS Office Suite
- BTec/NVQ level 3, or equivalent experience is desirable.
**Experience**
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of working in a manufacturing industry would be desirable
- ERP system experience desirable
- An understanding of production and planning principles or engineering drawings, processes & materials would be desirable
- Experience of working within an ISO 9001:2015 quality system would be desirable
