Kerensa Care & Support are looking for a Team Manager to join a fast-growing team Working alongside our Head of Care, other Team Managers and the Director’s, this role is a combination of team management, rota planning, and 1-2-1 engagement, whilst also retaining some time on rota providing direct support to our customers. With plenty of extra earning potential, this role provides huge growth and development opportunities in a fresh and reactive organisation that is constantly evolving.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for the role
- Demonstrate and role model professional credibility, conduct and attendance, setting a standard for the team and the way in which you engage with families and other important people
- Primary contact for the team and families of the people/person we support
- Ensure the correct and appropriate support is in place at all times
- Demonstrate a proactive and responsive approach to challenges within the team, for example, rostering, absence, performance/practice issues etc.
- Work with your manager to provide guidance and support to team members in meeting outcomes, through team meetings, catch up’s, annual reflections etc.
- Work collaboratively with your manager to ensure quality, compliance and safety in your team/s
- Be committed to improving your team’s performance through contributing good ideas and solutions, coaching/mentoring colleagues to succeed in how best to support people
- Actively engage with feedback, support and coaching provided about your own performance
- Demonstrate an understanding of your duty of care to the people you support and have a good understanding of boundary lines
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to working, evidencing and role modelling best practice and always working in a person centred, non-discriminatory way
- Communicate with dignity, respect and responsibility
- Implement and monitor safe working practices to promote personal safety and the safety of others
- Evidence that agreed ways of working, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements are implemented and adhered to
- Identify any required specialist support to improve outcomes
- Work responsively with people, using a range of methods to engage with them successfully
- Be a good ambassador for Kerensa Care & Support at every opportunity

- Previous experience within the health and social care sector
- Be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work
- Be able to support with intimate personal care
- Ability to use basic IT systems
- Be able to work on a rota basis, including: days, evenings and weekends this also includes Bank Holidays
- Be able to do sleep - ins on a rota basis (where required)
- Be prepared to support people away on holiday if required
- Be prepared to not smoke whilst at work
- **Desirable**:_
- Experience of planning rotas
- Experience of developing care plans and risk assessments
- NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care

**About the training**

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 3 certification and can become an associate or member of the Institute of Leadership and Management or Chartered Management Institute.
