**JOB- Mechanical Estimator**
**LOCATION- Gloucestershire**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience **
My client offers engineering solutions in the Building Services sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their business on a permanent basis in Gloucester. If you have experience in Sales within the engineering sector, this role might beideal for you Graduate / Junior Engineers who are looking to go into the technical side of engineering would also be ideal.
**The Mechanical Estimator will ideally have the following attributes**:

- 2-5 years’ experience working as an Estimator
- Knowledge of mechanical installations - Mechanical Engineering
- Being able to use statistical tools for analysing and forecasting data
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team

**The Mechanical Estimator role will involve**:

- Reviewing and assessing tender documentation
- Preparing realistic budgets to support business development
- Feeding back cost data into estimating tools and then keeping these updated
- Getting sign off from all disciplines so that you can deliver against the prepared budget
- Creating a database of past project costs to help with future bids
- Managing the project gate review process and reporting and being involved in capacity management and planning
- Working with the planners / schedulers
