Job Introduction
As a **Chef** for Sodexo at **Cressex Community School, High Wycombe**, you will assist the Chef Manager to oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations as well as the finances for your school’s kitchen. You will support the Chef Manager in ensuring you showcase what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye-catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. As well as this, you will **not** work unsociable hours and you **will** get public holidays offincluding Christmas

**What you do**:

- Prepare, cook, present, and serve food to company standards which may include breakfast, morning break, lunch, and hospitality.
- You will support the Chef Manager to ensure adherence to all company compliance (such as Food safety, Health and Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations) is being followed and in place at all times.
- Carry out craft/ skills training for catering staff.
- Ensure that all service counters and food are presented to company standards.
- To guarantee that each dish served is portioned according to business requirements.
- Ensure completion of daily/ weekly cleaning duties as instructed by Chef manager, including in all food preparation, storage areas and catering communal areas, removal of waste from catering area also in line with company standards..
- Deliver exceptionally high standards in customer service, cleanliness, tidiness, and other operational activity.
- Complete any duties requested in line with job description and company policy, providing support at all times to the team under guidance of the Chef Manager.

**What you bring**:

- A minimum of 1 years of experience in hands on cooking, training on Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety will be given.
- Must have expertise on cooking on a large scale, anywhere between 100 - 1300 students.
- Have experience following recipes, possibly in a similar setting.
- Have experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
- Be aware of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy Kitchen environment.
- Be professional, leading by example and having a positive outlook is key.
- Hold basic food handling skills certification
