**Job title: Nursery Assistant**

**Hours: 16 hours per week**

**Full Time, Permanent, All year round**

**Schedule: Ability to work varied shift patterns between 8.00am - 6:00pm**

**Brimpton House Nursery **are looking for a passionate Nursery Assistant to join their team. We are looking for someone who has had at least 6 months experience within Early Years and who has the eagerness to learn and progress within their role.

**Nursery Assistant main responsibilities include**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are read, applied, reviewed regularly and adhered to by all
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Ensure daily that all resources, equipment and environments are safe and suited for children’s age and stage
- Embrace a culture of self-evaluation, reflective practice and continual improvement with ongoing learning

**Nursery Assistant requirement and skills**:

- Over 6 months experience of working in Early Years
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating
