Join us as a Specialist Business Control Partner (Security and Technology Risks)

- You’ll partner with the business and Risk function to identify, assess and manage the risks within the agreed risk appetite, using our risk framework to inspire a team of business and customer control partners, and make sure that the team objectives are achieved

- This is a remote-first role, which means time back and greater flexibility

**What you'll do**:
As a Business Controls Partner, you’ll have an opportunity to make a vital contribution to driving a generative culture of risk awareness, recommending solutions to operations’ risk issues within the businesses. As such, you’ll strengthen the level of ownership within the business, identifying and calling out areas of weakness and sharing best practices.

You'll deliver a robust risk governance framework in line with the operational risk handbook, as well as supporting and delivering relevant risk activity to build credible and realistic plans to move and sustain a control environment certification rating. You'll also participate in senior security and technology forums and provide commercial controls input whilst building networks across the Security and Technology teams.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

- Supporting the assessment and implementation of risk framework and security and technology related policy compliance and changes
- Supporting the RCA team and the business to review their risk profile and control environment to determine inherent and residual technology related risks.
- Analysing technology risk reporting and metrics to inform commercial risk appetite and risk and control assessment, and escalating emerging risks in a timely manner
- Developing and delivering a strong risk awareness across the business, contributing to the prioritisation, design and implementation of the operational risk principles into the business
- Managing the interface between the business, second line of defence and other critical functions, as well as the wider risk and controls teams

**The skills you'll need**:
You'll need knowledge of technology controls and processes that support the management of security, resilience, stability risks or causes of risk. You'll also need technology and security experience gaining within a risk and controls environment.

On top of this, you’ll bring:

- The ability to articulate technical risks and issues for senior management in laypersons terms
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills
- Influencing and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to view the impact of issues from a wider or macro perspective
- The ability to think creatively when resolving problems and identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist
