Working for a main operator within the energy sector within their senior engineering team.

Requiring both key engineering capibilities and people skills to work within an establsihed team.

Reporting to the Head of Technical Engineering, the Primary purpose of role is to ensure electrical engineering risk management, compliance & governance are understood & overlooked with good practice and regulatory engineering in mind. Maintaining standards& processes across all operations.

Provide electrical Engineering governance, support, guidance & action completion for company operations, capital projects & the engineering team.

Lead the understanding of electrical management systems, ensuring engineering related risks to people, environment, plant & business are understood & managed systematically & effectively.

Work effectively and positively with all employees and contractors promoting a positive safety culture and high awareness of process safety.

Support electrical engineering capability across the business & as required engineering resourcing and development - both company and third-party contract support for technical assurance and other activities

Lead cross site discipline engineering networks sharing best practice and alignment across the discipline. Provide, guidance and support enabling sites to establish & maintain site specific discipline engineering practices, standards and processes.

Provide or lead procurement of suitable and sufficient discipline engineering verification for studies, process safety support for projects and modifications and provide technical assurance as required to operations.

Lead process assurance activities. Monitor audit conclusions for wider group learning and follow-up actions. Participate in other audit or assurance activities as requested by the regulatory authority.

Monitor and modify as applicable operational site performance indicators enabling oversight of risk management processes.

Provide discipline engineering guidance and mentoring as required and support the competence development for the sites discipline engineers.
