**What you’ll be doing**
A key role in Capital Delivery where you will be accountable for the guidance and management of a team of Operation Liaison Engineers and their engagement with internal teams within Thames Water. Working closely with team members and stakeholders, you’ll beresponsible for ensuring that the needs of our customers are met and the service we provide is continually improved.
As the **Lead Operational Liaison Engineer**, you will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the team and assist with technical escalations. You’ll provide support and will be required to travel across the whole of the Thames Valley.
This is a key role that facilitates the successful and seamless delivery of assets from validation, design, and implementation through to operational takeover, safeguarding and meeting regulatory and statutory requirements whilst maximising the benefit to ThamesWater. Compliance and assurance of the engagement process that is built into the stage-gate process are key in ensuring that operations teams and key stakeholders have been consulted through each stage gate.
**What you should bring to the role**:
- Have an appreciation of **operational team pressures**:
- Possess **conflict management experience** in a project delivery/contractor management environment
- Possess the **ability to work with ambiguity**and drive to achieve results
- **Be proactive, forward-thinking,** and work collaboratively to get things done
- **Be a credible leader** with the drive and energy to deliver, lead and guide the team, and drive a culture of health and safety across all teams
- Have expertise in one of the **four quadrants of above-ground/below-ground/water/waste**:
- Be able to identify and **breakdown system processes and operational and technological difficulties to assist in the development of solutions**:
- Understand **performance and quality management**:
- Understand the **‘Stage Gate’ process and intelligent client model**:
- **Have excellent communication** and interpersonal skills, to manage and develop key stakeholder relationships to improve business performance
- **Be competent** with the use of complex IT systems and standard office software
