**Nanny/Housekeeper for two children (B4.5 and G1)**
**40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, but with some flexibility)**

This family is seeking a nanny/housekeeper to care for their two children, the eldest of whom has special needs. What the family really want is someone who is willing to be flexible as the needs of the family do change from time to time and whether it is term time or not. Really they need a helping hand as the demands of the children can be a lot at times. Mum is not working but is selling her artwork so is providing a lot of support at home but needs time outside of the home also. So, if you’re open to the challenge, and willing to get stuck-in, this may well be the role for you.

**The role in more detail**

**Related to the children**:

- Assisting with school drop offs and pick ups
- Helping to pack bags and kit as needed for both children
- Organising fun games and activities with the children
- Visiting the park and / or local attractions
- Preparing healthy meals for the children
- Supporting mum to manage her workload (help to coordinate play dates etc)
- Provide care and supervision for 4.5-year-old child with special needs, who attends nursery until 2PM (but who will be attending school from September) when needed (dependent on mum’s schedule)
- Care for the 1-year-old child who will be starting nursery in September
- As you can see, the hours are varied and both children are busy bees so really picking up tasks as needed will be essential

**Related to the home**:

- Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation when possible - just general help around the home and depending on the children’s schedule

**Experience and qualifications**
- Prior experience caring for children. It is not a requirement to have experience with SEN children but would be a bonus if the case
- Ability to work with and be flexible with scheduling
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willing to perform some housekeeping duties
- Fluent English
- Up to date DBS, First Aid and Right to Work docs as well as references (or contactable referees) must be provided to Arthur’s House before any profile will be submitted to the family

**Salary**: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
