**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full Time
**What We Can Offer You**: Hybrid or Remote Working, competitive benefits package, opportunities for professional development and career progression, a supportive and collaborative working environment
**Why Do We Want You?**
We are looking for a dedicated NVQ Assessor to join our growing team at Phoenix Health and Safety, part of Wilmington Plc.
As we continue to expand, we need an experienced professional to assess and support learners working towards their Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
If you have a passion for guiding individuals through their qualifications, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a dynamic, delegate-led workload, we want to hear from you.
**Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities**
**You will be responsible for**:
- Assessing the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Conducting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) on other assessors' work.
- Providing ongoing support to delegates, ensuring they complete their qualification in a timely manner.
- Managing a delegate-led caseload, adapting to fluctuating workloads as learners enrol at different times.
- Conducting regular progress reviews and meetings with delegates over an 18-month course duration.
- Reviewing assessments within a 10-day SLA and responding to learner queries within a 3-day SLA.

You will gain immense satisfaction from guiding learners through their qualifications and supporting their professional growth, ensuring they achieve their goals and progress in their careers.
**What's the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?**
This is a delegate-led role, meaning your workload is dictated by the number of learners assigned to you, each with up to 18 months to complete their course. There is no fail option, so assessments can be resubmitted multiple times until they pass.
Time management, flexibility, and long-term planning are crucial, as you must balance responding to learners' needs while maintaining assessment SLAs.
Strong interpersonal skills are also key, as building rapport with delegates over the course duration ensures they stay engaged and supported.

- An IQA Qualification or willingness to work towards it.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to balance assessment deadlines with ongoing delegate support.
